About Kristina Barekova

Kristina has traveled extensively and has lived in many different places (London, Tokyo, Paris, Istanbul) taking in the culture and styles from around the world. She spent 3 years in Japan and travel throughout Asia at that time visiting galleries and artist’s studios. After graduating from European Business School London, she began experimenting with her own artistic style.

Curious by the Asian art of eggshell inlay she started to explore this ancient art style. However unable to find any masters in Europe she began exploring on her own. Since 2019 she has been perfecting her skills and creating long-lasting paintings with unusual textures made with eggshells in a technique which she has developed herself. This is a unique style that took years to mold such a fragile material into unbreakable 3D paintings.

Vision

Many of her works come to life in her dreams. Inspiration is all around us, you just need an artistic eye and a little imagination to take you to an imaginary world. She is influenced by nature, her surroundings, and colors; which appear to her throughout the day’s emotions in her dreams as new paintings. Sometimes in the form of shapes or colors. That is why she is often awoken in the middle of the night by a strong vision and goes straight to work not to forget the feelings it has left her with.
